2024 3-Star CB Brandon Nicholson Commits to Stanford
Memphis, TN (July 7, 2023): Three-star cornerback Brandon Nicholson has committed to Stanford University, he announced on Twitter on Friday.
Nicholson is a 5-foot-11, 175-pound prospect from Memphis University School in Memphis, Tennessee. He is ranked as the No. 21 college prospect in Tennessee for the Class of 2024 by 247Sports.
Nicholson is a versatile athlete who can play both cornerback and wide receiver. He is known for his speed and athleticism, and he has good ball skills. He is also a physical player who is not afraid to tackle.
Nicholson chose Stanford over offers from Northwestern, Arkansas, Florida State, and Georgia Tech, among others. He said that he was drawn to Stanford's academic reputation and its strong football program.
"I just loved most of the times that I went up there," Nicholson said. "Especially with that new staff, it feels like they're trying to start that program back up.
"Also, it's important to me to get a good degree. That means something."
Nicholson's commitment is a big boost for Stanford's recruiting class. The Cardinal have already landed 10 commitments for the Class of 2024, and Nicholson is the highest-ranked of the bunch.
With Nicholson in the fold, Stanford is now in position to have one of the top recruiting classes in the country. The Cardinal are hoping to return to national prominence in the years to come, and Nicholson's commitment is a step in the right direction.

However, there is reason for optimism. Stanford has a new head coach in David Shaw, and he has brought in a new staff that is full of energy and enthusiasm. The Cardinal also have a number of talented young players, including Nicholson, who could help them turn things around.
