Coach confirms Lionel Messi's last match for PSG this weekend

Paris Saint-Germain coach Christophe Galtier has confirmed that Lionel Messi will leave the club at the end of the season. Messi, who joined PSG from Barcelona in 2021, will play his last match for the club on Saturday against Clermont Foot.

"This will be his last match at the Parc des Princes," Galtier said. "I had the privilege of coaching the best player in the history of football. I hope that he will receive the warmest of welcomes."

Messi's departure comes after a disappointing season for PSG. The club finished second in Ligue 1, behind Lille, and were knocked out of the Champions League in the round of 16 by Real Madrid.

Messi scored 11 goals and 15 assists in 34 appearances for PSG this season. He won the Ligue 1 title and the Coupe de France, but his time in Paris has been overshadowed by the club's failure to win the Champions League.

It is unclear where Messi will go next. He has been linked with a move back to Barcelona, as well as a move to Manchester City or Chelsea.

Messi's departure is a major blow for PSG. The club had hoped that he would help them to finally win the Champions League, but he was unable to do so. His departure will leave PSG in a difficult position, as they will need to find a replacement who can help them to achieve their goals.
