Kris Vereen vs Evan Cutts: Live Peak Fighting Updates and Results, 5:00 PM ET

Kris Vereen and Evan Cutts squared off in the main event of Peak Fighting 15 on Friday night, and it was a fight that lived up to the hype.

Vereen, the No. 1-ranked lightweight contender, came into the fight looking to make a statement and solidify his spot as the next title challenger. Cutts, meanwhile, was looking to upset the apple cart and pull off a major upset.

The fight started off at a fast pace, with both fighters exchanging strikes. Vereen seemed to be the more aggressive fighter early on, but Cutts was able to weather the storm and land some good shots of his own.

As the fight went on, Vereen started to take control. He was able to land some big punches and kicks, and Cutts was starting to look a little bit tired.

In the third round, Vereen really turned it on. He landed a series of devastating punches that put Cutts on the canvas. Cutts was able to get back to his feet, but he was clearly hurt.

Vereen continued to pour it on in the fourth and fifth rounds, and Cutts was never really able to recover. In the end, Vereen won by unanimous decision, and he is now the No. 1 contender for the Peak Fighting lightweight title.
