Three Mainers to Play for U.S. Squads at Ultimate U-24 World Championships

Three Mainers will be representing the United States at the 2023 World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) World Under 24 Ultimate Championships in Nottingham, England.

Cole Moore of Cumberland, Calvin Stoughton of Cape Elizabeth, and Nate Buchholz of Norway will all play for the U.S. mixed team. The team is made up of 24 of the best young ultimate players in the country.

Moore is a 6-foot-5 handler who is known for his passing and throwing skills. He is a graduate of Bowdoin College, where he was a two-time All-American.

Buchholz is a 6-foot-2 handler who is known for his creativity and vision. He is a graduate of Colby College, where he was a two-time All-American.

The World Championships will be held from July 1-8. The tournament will feature 24 teams from around the world.

The three Mainers are excited to represent the United States at the World Championships. They are all looking forward to competing against the best young ultimate players in the world.

"It's an honor to be selected to represent the United States," Moore said. "I'm so excited to play with some of the best players in the world. We have a great team, and I know we can win gold."

"I'm really excited to be playing with Cole and Nate," Stoughton said. "We've all been playing together for a long time, and we know each other's games really well. I think we're a really talented team, and I'm confident that we can bring home the gold."
